QuickEnvelopes Pro Features
All of the Pro features are available when you download QuickEnvelopes. You can print up to 5 envelopes so that you can evaluate whether the app is doing what you need it to do. To continue printing more envelopes, you then need to either subscribe or buy a lifetime Pro IAP.
The feature available include:
- Change the font/colour/size of text on a line-by-line basis
- Basic mode – change font/colour/size of text but changes apply to all of the name/address text rather than line-by-line.
- Add multiple text blocks to the envelope
- Add one or more images to the envelope
- Save an envelope design, as a template, for later use.
- Print Intelligent Mail Barcodes
Flexi-mode Editing
With flexi-mode editing, each line can have a different font, color and/or size from the other lines of text.
To enter flexi-mode, hover over the text, or tap/click on it, to reveal the formatting panel above, and then select Flexi-mode.
In flexi mode, each line of text will have a font formatting icon Aa on the far right.
Tap/Click on this button to reveal the font/colour/size popup.
Adding Text Blocks
You can as many text blocks as you want to the envelope.
To add a block, on your mac, click on the Add Text Block button on the bottom left of the envelope. You need to hover over the envelope to reveal this button.
On an iPad, tap/click the “+” button on the left of the toolbar and select Add Text Block.
This will add a blank text block at a random location on the envelope. You can change the font/color/size in the same way as you can with the main address. Similarly, drag it to any position you would like.
Adding Images
You can also add one or more images to the envelope.
Similar to adding text blocks, you start by clicking on the Add Image button on the bottom-left of the envelope, when using a mac. On an iPad, click/tap on the “+” button on the left of the toolbar.
There are a large number of built in images – just select the one you want.
Alternatively, you can add an image from a file or from your mac’s Photos. To do that, click on the “Upload an Image…” button.
On an iPad, there are similar buttons for adding a file or a photo.
As with the text blocks, the image will be added to a random position on the envelope, but can be moved easily. To move the image, just click on it and drag to the desired location, or drag with a finger on the iPad.
You can also make the image larger or smaller. To do so, click and drag on the little blue resizing button on the bottom-right of the image, on a mac. Dragging down will increase the image height (and up to reduce it), whilst dragging to the right will increase the width (and to the left to decrease it).
On an iPad, you can change the image size using 2-finger pinch and zoom.
Creating Templates
Templates allow you to save envelope designs for later use.
You can then select from your saved templates as appropriate to the print job you are about to carry out.
For example, you might decide to decorate your envelope with some extra images and text for your Christmas envelopes, as well as using coloured text for names and addresses (as long as these additions meet the requirements of the local postal service). Having created the design, you can save for future use. After the holiday season, you then revert back to your usual, possibly more formal design – either one of the standard built-in templates, or another custom one that you had saved previously.
So how do you save a custom template? When you have finished your design, tap/click on the templates dropdown in the top toolbar.
Then, from the popup, tap/click on “Create New Custom Template“.
On the next screen, just give your template a name.
You will then see the template selection screen. You can select the custom one you just created, or switch to a different template.
Likewise, when using the app in the future, tap/click on the templates dropdown in the top toolbar to change the current template.
Intelligent Mail Barcodes
This applies to users in the USA.
The intelligent barcode can be printed if enabled in Settings.
Also, the barcode can be printed above or below the address – again selected in Settings.
